Michael Burri has taught beginning, intermediate, and advanced German at Bryn Mawr College. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania and currently serves as Vice President of the Austrian Studies Association. His articles have appeared in German Studies Review, Austrian History Yearbook and New German Critique, and he has published review essays and opinion pieces in leading Czech and American dailies, including the Philadelphia Inquirer and The Washington Post. He is currently co-editing a volume of essays entitled After Vienna. Post-Imperial Salzburg as a Austria's Future Kulturstadt: 1919-1938, and completing a book project on intellectuals in First Republic Austria.
