The Department of English at Bryn Mawr College invites applications for a full-time, beginning tenure-track, Assistant Professor position to begin August 1, 2018, in Children’s and Young Adult literature. Candidates may focus on any time period or geographic area, including pre-20th century and the Anglophone world. Possible specializations might include: childhood studies; gender, sexuality, and trans studies; race and ethnicity; disability studies; environmental studies; speculative fiction; and/or graphic narratives. Bryn Mawr’s library holdings include The Ellery Yale Wood Collection, a recent bequest of over 15,000 volumes of 18th-20th century British and U.S. children’s literature. Candidates must have completed all Ph.D. requirements by the start date.
