Science Instrument Setup and Troubleshooting

We are always happy to support you in the needs and challenges presented by your projects and research. Some of the support and services the Department offers to faculty and students include:

• troubleshooting and helping with problems;
• moving and setting up new lab equipment, per faculty request;
• repairing lab machinery and equipment; and
• warranty work with service technicians.

SSSD works with the College Facilities Departments and the Provost's Office to outfit and renovate lab spaces.

Maintenance and Servicing of Lab Equipment
Some equipment needs to be maintained by students but SSSD personnel will help teach students necessary maintenance procedures. Requests to schedule this training should be made by the faculty.
