The SJI partnered with Advisory Council member Rodney Whittenberg, founder of Melodyvision, to produce a series of six podcasts focusing on Social Justice, highlighting our inaugural theme of Forgiveness.
As part of the Social Justice Initiative, we provide easily accessible resources about social justice. The SJI has partnered with Melodyvision, an audio, music, and video company, to provide evocative, current, and cutting-edge social justice content. The Emmy Award winning composer and Emmy nominated filmmaker of many successful podcasts, Rodney Whittenberg speaks to the importance of social justice. As the founder of Melodyvision, Rodney`s work both professionally and personally centers around social issues, community service, and political action. From the children’s CD “We Stood Up,” a celebration and reflection on the civil rights, to his latest film “Portraits of Professional Care Givers Their Passion Their Pain,” a look at the impact of secondary trauma of teachers/first responders/firefighters/police, Rodney’s passion for music and film is followed closely by his love of civics, history, and politics. As a lifelong creator of political music, he has always wished there was an outlet for contemporary political art.
