She is committed to trauma-informed, developmentally focused, systemically oriented research in the social sciences. She is currently involved in an independent study on the neurobiological implications of trauma on attachment, in relation to the therapeutic alliance between client and therapist. She is also working on a workbook for Focused Genograms (DeMaria, Weeks, & Twist, 2017) about the clinical applications of the Intersystem Model and Focused Genograms with colleagues DeMaria and Haggerty.

Briana Bogue is currently developing a dissertation topic. She is interested in attachment, trauma, and the therapeutic alliance. She is exploring quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods in looking at these topics.
