Thomas Raeburn White Scholarships in Foreign Language StudyProvides funding for summer language instruction, usually abroad. Preference is given to junior language majors who lack previous study abroad. Deadline: February 13, 2023

Judy Loomis Gould Scholarships for Summer Study Abroad. Open to rising sophomores, rising juniors, and rising seniors who would not have the opportunity to study abroad during their undergraduate years. Deadline: February 13, 2023

Elizabeth Gray Vining Scholarship for Summer Study Abroad.  The Elizabeth Gray Vining Scholarship provides up to 1 million yen for those seeking direct contact with Japanese culture. It can be used to fund summer study abroad in Japan. Although in general preference will be given to those with at least basic knowledge of Japanese, exceptions may be made depending on the nature of the project or program proposed. Deadline: February 13, 2023

Fulbright UK Summer Institutes.  The Fulbright UK Summer Institutes are three- to four week-programs for US undergraduate students, who have no or very little travel experience outside North America. Funding includes travel, tuition, and room and board. Participants can explore the culture, heritage and history of the UK while experiencing higher education at a UK university. Open to first-years and sophomores with a 3.7 GPA or higher. U.S. citizenship required. Deadline: mid-February

Public Policy and International Affairs Scholarship (PPIA).  Fully funded Junior Summer Institutes at various colleges and universities for students committed to pursuing a career in public service such as government, nonprofits, and humanitarian and international organizations. Open to juniors U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and DACA recipients. Several Summer Institutes are also open to international students. Deadline: early November
