You haven't even started at Bryn Mawr yet, but already you're getting a sense of the rhythm of the semester. Right now, we've passed the mid-summer phase... and it's a bit like going through a round of midterms during the semester.
We've just given you a lot of assignments:completing an advising questionnaire, selecting your ESEM, and submitting your One Card photo, etc. Some of you got those done well in advance; others seen to have taken a more last-minute approach. In either case, now that you're done with those, you get a bit of a breather. Any of you who actually missed the deadlines that just passed will have another chance to complete those to-do items (the sooner, the better at this point).
In late July and early August, things will pick up again. Soon, you'll have access to three online education modules on health and safety issues of importance to new college students. On July 25, we'll give you lots more information about how to select and register for courses during the initial round of preregistration this summer. We know you'll be picking challenging courses and it will be natural to start feeling some mix of anxiety and excitement, so we'll want you to start learning about the resources available here at Bryn Mawr -- and the internal resources all of you have. So you can expect not just Tuesday articles about some of those resources but also two more on-line assignments, the Resiliency Project and the Academic Integrity Tutorial.
In the meantime, keep reading the Tuesday newsletter, and keep sending the questions our way, at firstname.lastname@example.org
