Reunion 2012

Reunion 2012

May 25-27

FROM THE PRESIDENT

Dear Alumnae/i:

I welcome you and your family to take part in Reunion 2012. This year’s program invites alumnae/i to “Rekindle and Recharge.” You will have opportunities to recharge at a number of new events, including a food and wine festival and a “Saturday Night Fever” dance party (in honor of this year’s cluster reunion of ’70s alums), as well as at traditional gatherings like Step Sing. Senator Harris Wofford, President of Bryn Mawr from 1970-1978 and co-founder of the Peace Corps, will return to campus to lead a panel of former volunteers in reflection on the Peace Corps’ first 50 years. Distinguished economist Alice Rivlin ’52 will speak to us about the economic challenges of the past four years and her outlook for the future. These and other speakers will rekindle the intellectual passions, global outlook, and commitment to positive social change that have characterized the Bryn Mawr experience across the decades. I wish to add one more “re” to our plans for Reunion 2012. Reunion is fundamentally about reconnecting with friends, with former professors, and with Bryn Mawr. I invite you to reconnect with this special community, and I look forward to welcoming you back in May.

With warm wishes,

Jane McAuliffe
President
