Getting Started
Bryn Mawr's co-educational Graduate School of Arts and Sciences invites applications from academically prepared prospective students. Applicants are strongly advised to make personal contact with the Director of Graduate Studies and faculty members in the departments to which they plan to apply.
Graduate Funding
The Graduate School of Arts and Sciences funds its Ph.D. students through a combination of fellowships, teaching assistantships, graduate assistantships, and research assistantships. All fellowships and assistantships include a tuition award and health insurance
Financial support packages for full-time GSAS students include an annual stipend ($40,000 - $45,000 in 2026-2027), a tuition award, student health insurance, and access to additional funding for conference and research travel and language study.
