The Director of Institutional Research coordinates efforts to gather, evaluate and analyze campus data and provides information about the College both to the general public and to College policymakers. The director serves as the College's representative to outside organizations conducting surveys or research, coordinates reporting on education data to federal and state governments, and monitors College publications to ensure that accurate and appropriate data is published.

Among the Office's responsibilities is to learn what students think about their academic and social experiences at Bryn Mawr through periodic surveys. Information gathered this way informs future policy and program improvements on campus.
