BRYN MAWR ALUMNAE TO OFFER ADVICE ON PUBLISHING
Three recent Bryn Mawr alumnae will offer advice on how to break into the world of professional writing and publishing at the Creative Writing Program's annual seminar on publishing on Monday, April 12, from 7 to 10 p.m. in the Dorothy Vernon Room of Haffner Hall. The seminar, organized by noted author Rachel Simon '81 in conjunction with a creative writing course, is open to all members of the Bryn Mawr-Haverford community.
Speakers at the seminar:
- Ginger Clark '98, assistant agent at the literary agency Writers House
- Liz Scheier '00, editor at Penguin
- Juliana Rosati '03, editorial assistant at Running Press
The panelists will discuss the entire publication process, from manuscript submission to acquisition to production to finished book. They will also discuss the most effective ways to pursue employment in the publishing field.
Simon asks that attendees arrive promptly, as seats are expected to fill early.
