COMBINED WORKPLACE GIVING CAMPAIGN STARTS OCT. 18
The College's sixth annual Combined Workplace Giving Campaign, which provides a way for the College community to invest in Philadelphia-area community organizations, will begin Monday, Oct. 18. The goal for this year's campaign, which will last until Nov. 24, is $20,000.
The campaign offers donors the chance to give through a convenient payroll deduction that spreads the donation out over the 2005 calendar year. Donors may give to one of the five umbrella fundraising organizations — the AIDS Fund, Bread and Roses Community Fund, the Environmental Fund for Pennsylvania, United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania, or Womens Way — or they may earmark their donations for specific agencies.
More information about the partner organizations, including the agencies funded by each one, is available in a fact sheet that will be distributed to all members of the faculty and staff via campus mail (or download a PDF version here). Packets of information will be available in Benham Gateway, Campus Center, Canaday Library, the Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research, Human Resources, Ward and the cafeterias of Erdman, Haffner and Rhoads.
All donors, regardless of the size of their gift, are eligible to be entered into a drawing for four $25 gift certificates from Strawbridge's. And this year, the College will be giving away an additional four $25 gift certificates just for first-time givers.
