SINGER-SONGWRITER BRANDON PATTON TO PERFORM AT BMC
On Friday, Nov. 19, Tri-College students will welcome singer-songwriter Brandon Patton to Aelwyd on Cambrian Row. Acclaimed by Hybrid magazine as the writer of "witty little songs based on miniscule observations of the world around us," Patton cut his first album, Nocturnal, in 1997 as a solo performer. He was bassist and lead singer for the highly praised power-pop group Three Against Four, whose single HeartThrob was part of the soundtrack for the popular Discovery Channel series Monster Garage. Now playing solo again, Patton released his latest album, Should Confusion, last fall. The disc shows off Patton's chops in a variety of styles, "from unplugged rock to alt country, and from studio pop to bedroom recording," according to the album description.
Patton will be playing in Aelwyd from 9 to 11 p.m. Admission to the show, which is sponsored by the Student Activities Office, is free and open to all Bryn Mawr, Haverford and Swarthmore students.
