COMMUNITY UPDATE OFFERS A LOOK AT BMC BUDGET PROCESS
Library books, language labs, hot showers, fresh vegetables, and the faculty and staff necessary to make these amenities and more available to students — all cost money. Where does it come from? Where does it go? President Nancy J. Vickers and Treasurer Jerry Berenson will give students, faculty and staff an opportunity to follow the money in three open meetings next week.
Participants in the meetings will discuss an issue brief prepared by Vickers and disseminated to all members of the campus community this week. The document is the third in a series of Community Updates being offered by the president and senior College officials over the course of the 2004-05 academic year. Current and previous issue briefs, as well as other information relevant to the operation and long-term goals of the College, are posted at www.brynmawr.edu/communityupdate.
Vickers encourages all members of the campus community to engage in dialogue about this crucial issue. At each meeting, microphones will be available for audience members who have questions or comments. Vickers and Berenson will meet with staff on Tuesday, Nov. 16, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in Thomas Great Hall; with students on Wednesday, Nov. 17, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in 101 Aldwyn (217-219 Cambrian Row); and with faculty on Thursday, Nov. 21, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in the Ely Room of Wyndham.
