NEW NONPROFIT LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE OFFERS OPEN HOUSE
Nonprofit leaders who are interested in sharpening the financial, development and managerial skills that can help their organizations thrive can check out the Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research's new Nonprofit Executive Leadership Institute (NELI) at an open house on Monday, Dec. 13. The event will be held at the offices of Philadelphia Health Management Corporation, 260 S. Broad Street, 18th floor, Philadelphia, from 5:30-7p.m.
"The demands placed on nonprofit organizations have never been greater or more complex," said NELI Director Catherine Ormerod, M.S.S. and M.L.S.P. '99. "To help nonprofit and public-sector leaders better manage resources, ensure accountability and run effective programs, NELI offers an intensive executive leadership program." Applications for its 2005 class are now being accepted.
The certificate is earned during a 10-day program over eight months beginning March 31, 2005, and concluding Nov. 19, 2005. The program includes assessment of leadership and managerial skills; executive coaching; course work on financial and legal skills; and building community among nonprofit leaders. Scholarships are available. For more information go to www.brynmawr.edu/neli or call 610-520-6250.
