COMBINED GIVING CAMPAIGN RAISES MORE THAN $15,000
 |
| The Giving Campaign turkey, except for a few snow-tipped feathers, displays the colors of faculty and staff generosity. |
The generosity of Bryn Mawr faculty and staff will help community organizations and agencies as they meet the needs of our neighbors, our environment and our ideals next year. The final tally of the donations to the Combined Workplace Giving Campaign totaled $15,990, and the funds were distributed as follows:
AIDS Fund: $351
Bread and Roses: $2,840
Environmental Fund: $776
United Way: $9,715
Womens Way: $2,308
Even though the Campaign did not meet its ambitious $20,000 goal, the Campaign Committee was happy with the amount raised. This year's donation total of $15,990 surpassed last year's total of $14,263, an increase of nearly nine percent.
"The gifts pledged during this year's campaign show that the faculty and staff of Bryn Mawr are not only generous, but also committed to making the world a better place for all of us," said committee member Tracy Youells. "And we're already looking forward to what can be accomplished in next year's campaign."
All that remains to this year's campaign is to draw the names of the lucky donors who will receive a $25 gift certificate to Strawbridge's. The winners will be notified before the winter break.
