COMMUNITY UPDATE: FACILITIES

Bryn Mawr's campus has seen some dramatic changes over the past few years, and more are on the way. President Nancy J. Vickers and Facilities Services Director Glenn Smith will discuss the College's ambitious schedule of capital improvements with faculty, staff and students at two open meetings in the coming weeks. Vickers and Smith will meet with faculty and staff on Monday, Feb. 21, at 4 p.m. in Ely Room; Smith will brief students on Wednesday, March 2, at 7 p.m. in Cambrian Row’s Aelwyd.

The meetings will focus on the funding and status of more than 15 improvements to the College's facilities and how they relate to the institution's long-term goals. These topics are covered in an issue brief prepared by Vickers and disseminated to all members of the campus community this week. The document is the last in a series of Community Updates offered by the president and senior College officials over the course of the 2004-05 academic year. Current and previous issue briefs, as well as other information relevant to the operation and long-term goals of the College, are posted at www.brynmawr.edu/communityupdate.

Vickers encourages all members of the campus community to engage in dialogue about this important issue. At each meeting, microphones will be available for audience members who have questions or comments.
