BMC SENDS RUNNERS TO RACE FOR THE CURE

Bryn Mawr is fielding a team for the Race for the Cure, which is held on Sunday, May 8, starting at 8:15 a.m. at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Proceeds of the 5K race benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, whose mission is to eradicate breast cancer as a life-threatening disease by advancing research, education, screening and treatment.

All members of the Bryn Mawr community are welcome to join the team, which includes both runners and walkers. Please contact Marty Mastascusa in Human Resources (ext. 5266) or mmastasc@brynmawr.edu if you would like an application. You may also apply online at www.phillyraceforthecure.org. When applying, please enter the Bryn Mawr team code "1885." The entrance fee for applications postmarked by April 8 is $23, with the fee increasing to $30 by race day.

Those who cannot run or walk on this date are also welcome to participate by making a contribution, Mastascusa says.
