| DIVERSITY WEEK OFFERS SMORGASBORD OF EVENTS
"Diversity: It's More Than You Think" is the theme of this year's Diversity Week, which begins March 28. An array of student organizations has teamed with the Office of Intercultural Affairs to present a schedule bursting with discussions, performances, presentations and culinary adventures that will explore the complexities and rewards of a diverse society. The entire campus community is invited to attend all events. A full schedule is available on the Intercultural Affairs Web site.
The week opens with a kick-off breakfast and open house at the Multicultural Center on Monday, March 28, from 9 to 11 a.m. Events will include discussions on topics including gay parenting, Latina ethnic identity, disabililty, whiteness, class on campus, black identity, political diversity, unity and division on campus, and more.
A screening of Our Lives Translated, a documentary video produced by members of Bryn Mawr's Asian Students Association, is scheduled for Wednesday, March 30, at Aelwyd. An unusual addition to this year's schedule is two days of bone-marrow donor testing (see related story). The week culminates in a collaborative performance: a diversity cabaret and open-mike session on Saturday, April 2, at Rhoads Dining Hall.
