| OWLS WIN CENTENNIAL CONFERENCE ACADEMIC HONOR
Eight Bryn Mawr College scholar-athletes were recently named to the 2005 Winter Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll in their respective sports.
JoAnn Gage, a senior geology major, was named to the Academic Honor Roll for Women's Basketball.
Two Bryn Mawr scholar-athletes were named to the Academic Honor Roll for Women's Swimming: Senior Stacy Claxton, a double major in Spanish and mathematics, and Meg Folcarelli, a sophomore French major.
Five Bryn Mawr runners were named to the Academic Honor Roll for Women's Indoor Track and Field. Mary Lagdameo is a senior East Asian studies major, Lana Momani is a junior English major, Cara Petonic is a sophomore mathematics major and Anna Tomasulo is a sophomore French major. Senior Joanna Simonis, a psychology major, competed in the 2005 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships and was also named an All-Centennial performer for wins in the 800-meters, the distance medley relay and the 4 x 800-meter relay at the 2005 Centennial Conference Indoor Track and Field Championship Meet. She was named the Most Outstanding Women's Track Performer of the 2005 Conference Championships.
The Centennial Conference names an academic honor roll for each of its 24 sports. To be named to the academic honor roll a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher in class standing, a starter or a key reserve and hold a minimum 3.4 grade point average.
