| SPRING DANCE CONCERT OFFERS VARIETY
Ballet, modern, African, Irish and jazz dance will be in the spotlight at the annual Spring Dance Concert, April 21 and 22, at 7:30 p.m. in Goodhart Theater at Bryn Mawr College. Choreographed by members of the dance program faculty and students, the dances are performed by Bryn Mawr and Haverford College students. The concert is free and open to the public. A reception will follow.
Choreographers include Linda Caruso Haviland, director of dance; Madeline Cantor, associate director; Amanda Miller, former dancer with the Pennsylvania Ballet and co-founder and co-director of the Miro Dance Theater; Myra Bazell, co-director and choreographer for Scrap Dance Collective; and Jeannine Osayande, director of Dunya! Performing Arts Company.
Bryn Mawr students Natalie Bishar '06, Molly Mulflur '05 and Kate Patchett '06 will dance in a work they co-choreographed. Bi-Co students will also perform in an Irish dance work directed by Mo Convery '06, and Tabitha Performance Group, under the direction of Courtney Lewis '05 and Laura Vriend '05, will reprise their funny but poignant "Lament for Recent History."
