| CHORALE AUDITIONS OPEN TO BI-CO COMMUNITY Faculty, staff, alumnae and friends of Bryn Mawr and Haverford Colleges who have prior choral experience and can sight-read music are invited to join students in the Haverford-Bryn Mawr Chorale for the 2005-06 season. The Chorale, a symphonic choir of 120-150 voices, performs a major work with orchestra each semester under the direction of Haverford Associate Professor of Music Thomas Lloyd.
Faculty, staff, alumnae and friends who have not performed with the chorale before may audition this Sunday evening, Aug. 28, or by appointment on another date. Interested singers should call Lloyd at (610) 896-1006 or e-mail him at tlloyd@haverford.edu to schedule an audition. Student auditions will take place daily Aug. 29-Sept. 3; students may register for appointments on sign-up sheets at the music office in Union Hall at Haverford or the Office for the Arts in Goodhart.
This year, the chorale will perform Handel's Messiah on Friday, Dec. 2, and the Verdi Requiem on Friday, April 21, 2006. Rehearsals will be held every Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. beginning Sept. 7, in Roberts Hall of Haverford's Marshall Auditorium.
