| CAMPUS EVENTS MARK MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. DAY JAN. 16
Martin Luther King Jr. Day will be observed on the Bryn Mawr campus this year with several events honoring the life and work of the slain civil-rights leader. On Sunday, Jan. 15, the College will host the Main Line Martin Luther King Association's annual ceremony; on Monday, Jan. 16, King's legacy will be with a series of gatherings for the campus community, sponsored by the President's Office, the Civic Engagement Office, the Office of Intercultural Affairs and the Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research. The schedule:
11:30 a.m.-1p.m. Community Lunch, Thomas Great Hall
(bring your own lunch if you have not already reserved one)
4-6 p.m. "Dr. King's Vision of Social and Economic Justice," a panel discussion led by the Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research, Campus Center Main Lounge
7:30-8:30 p.m. Student reflections at Aelwyd 101, Cambrian Row
8:30-10:30 p.m. Candlelight vigil and dessert, Multicultural Center
Throughout the day, selections from films dealing with the civil-rights movement will be playing in the Campus Center Main Lounge.
