SPANISH CULTURAL SERIES WELCOMES ALL

This semester's weekly Spanish Cultural Series will open next Monday, Jan. 23, at 7 p.m. with "¿De dónde viene nuestra lengua?", a talk by Lecturer in Spanish Peter Brampton Koelle. Participants in the series include four other representatives of Bryn Mawr College: Tamara Johnston, registrar of the College Collections; Gary McDonogh, director of the Program in Growth and Structure of Cities; Lecturer in Anthropology Melissa Murphy; and Assistant Professor of Sociology Ayumi Takenaka.

The guest lecturers include David Bronkema of the American Friends Service Committee; Evelyne Laurent-Perrault, coordinator of Multicultural Programs of Haverford College; Patricia Montenegro of the Department of Communication Arts and Modern Language of Cheyney University; David Miralles and Kristrian Van Haesendonk of the Department of Modern and Classical Languages of Villanova University; and the former Ambassador of the United States of America to the Oriental Republic of Uruguay Martin J. Silverstein.
