| BACASO CULTURE SHOW CELEBRATES WOMEN'S STRENGTH
This Saturday, Jan. 28, the Bryn Mawr African and Caribbean Students' Organization (BACaSO) will present its annual culture show in Thomas Great Hall. The two-hour show, titled "The Strength of a Woman," begins at 7:30 p.m.; doors open at 7. Free and open to all, the show will be followed by a dinner social featuring Jamaican cuisine.
One of BACaSO's overall goals, says spokesperson Natalee Smith '07, is to "create awareness on campus of the diverse cultures and issues of Africa and the Caribbean." In "The Strength of a Woman," Smith says, "We salute women as respected and vital members of Caribbean and African societies and represent them in their different capacities in different parts of the African diaspora."
