| TERPSICHOREAN TREATS ON THE HOME TURF
Old City may be the prime locale for experiencing the downtown avant-garde on the first Friday of each month, but on this month's second Friday, the hot spot moves to Goodhart Theater, when the talented Philadelelphia performers and choreographers who make up Bryn Mawr's dance faculty give their annual concert. This is the community's yearly chance to see a sampling of Philadelphia's vibrant dance life without leaving the campus. A cross section of the dance faculty is taking part, presenting work that ranges from classical to postmodern approaches. The performance will take place on Friday, Feb. 10, at 7 p.m. It is free and open to the public and will be followed by a reception.

Rebecca Malcolm-Naib will present two dances. "Rapture" captures states of ecstasy in a joyous and highly physical quartet with powerhouse Philadelphia dancers Karin Bookbinder, Katharine Livingston, Heather Murphy and Renée Robinson-Buzby. "Time Trials" follows a duo's love-hate relationship as they visit and revisit moments of a shared history.
Veteran improvisers Leah Stein and Roko Kawai will premiere a new duet, and Nichole Canuso is bringing a trio in a witty exploration of sound and movement.
Under the direction of Laura Katz Rizzo, advanced students from the Pennsylvania Academy of Ballet will perform an excerpt from the famed ballet classic "Raymonda."
Director of Dance Linda Caruso Haviland and Associate Director Mady Cantor will perform "Parsons Etude," based on dances by acclaimed choreographer David Parsons.
