Terpsichorean Treats on the Home Turf


Bryn Mawr's dance faculty gives its annual concert on Friday, Feb. 10 at 7:30 p.m. A cross section of the dance faculty is taking part, presenting work that ranges from classical to postmodern approaches. It is free and open to the public and will be followed by a reception.

Lecture on 19th-Century Naturalist Opens Exhibition


The Bryn Mawr College Library opens its new exhibition "Luxuriant Nature smiling round:" Illustrated Botanical and Ornithological Books from the Ethelinda Schaefer Castle Collection with a lecture by Robert McCracken Peck on Tuesday, Feb. 7, at 4:30 p.m. in Carpenter Library 21.

New Faculty: Jonas Goldsmith


Jonas I. Goldsmith, who joined Bryn Mawr College this year as an assistant professor of physical chemistry, is studying the potential of hydrogen as a clean, affordable and renewable source of energy, and teaching students how to approach science from a broader perspective.
