| Harriers Earn National Academic Honors
A pair of first-year Bryn Mawr cross-country runners, Julia Lustick '09 and Katie Weng '09, were recently named to the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association's All-Academic Team.
In order to be named to the team, a harrier must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5 and must have placed in the top seven on her team at the NCAA Regionals.
Weng, the Owls' top runner throughout the 2005 season, placed 28th overall at the NCAA Mideast Regionals at Dickinson College on November 12. For her efforts at the event, Weng was named to the All-Region Team and All-Region Freshman Team. Lustick also capped off an impressive debut season by placing 62nd overall and second for Bryn Mawr at the regionals.
Bryn Mawr's cross-country runners also boasted a lofty GPA during the fall semester, earning the squad All-Academic Team honors.
