Rugby Routs Dickinson College, 49-15

The Bryn Mawr/Haverford rugby team continued its winning ways this afternoon as it stormed past Dickinson College, 49-15, to win its fourth straight match on April 15. With the win, the Horned Toads' record now stands at 4-1 this spring.

The Toads received strong play from their backs, led by inside center Kendra Smythe '08, who scored three tries and added two conversions. Flyhalf Julie Burrill '07 continued her scoring spree by adding two tries, increasing her season total to 11 tries.

Wing Beth Piastra '06 scored a try after outside center Micaela Dybbro '08 made a great break to take it down to the try line, where she unselfishly passed to Piastra for the score. "The Pack" totally dominated their forwards throughout the game. In her first game this season starting at flanker, Indira Neill '07 scored two tries and constantly disrupted any attempt of an attack from Dickinson. Amy Scott '08 scored her second try of the season on a beautifully executed lineout that was set up by captain Stephanie Olen '07 faking the start of a maul to the left, allowing Scott to go right untouched for her try.

Bryn Mawr/Haverford will travel to St. Joseph on April 22 for their next match (2 p.m. start time).
