| On Campus: Renaissance Men, Health-Care Reform
Renaissance Men. On Sunday, Nov. 12 , the Bryn Mawr Renaissance Choir will present its fall concert in Thomas Great Hall at 3 p.m. The men's voices are particularly numerous and strong in this year's choir, and the program has been chosen accordingly. The group will sing sacred and secular music by composers including William Byrd, Thomas Morley, Josquin Des Pres, Guillaume Dufay, Juan Vasquez and Thomas Tallis.
The Renaissance Choir includes three members of the Bryn Mawr faculty along with student and alumnae singers and musicians from the local community. Spectra Musica will accompany the singers on period wind instruments.
Health-Care Reform. Walter Tsou, the former health commissioner of Philadelphia, and Carla Willis, the senior economist of the American Medical Association, will discuss health-care reform in America on Tuesday, Nov. 14, from 10:30 a.m. to noon in Park 180. The speakers will discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the current system and review the arguments for and against a single-payer system and a market-based approach. The event is sponsored by the Public Health Focus Group and the Center for Science and Society.
