New Athletics Logo to Be Unveiled
At Party in Bern Schwartz Gym
On Thursday, April 12, the Bryn Mawr Athletics Department will let a long-contained cat — or is it an owl? — out of the bag when it unveils its new logo. The process of creating a graphic identity for the College's sports teams has taken about a year, beginning with a focus group of representatives from the Office of Admissions, the Alumnae Association, the Department of Athletics and Physical Education, the Public Affairs Office and student athletes. It culminates in banners, apparel and a logo-decorated cake.
All members of the College community are invited to the gathering, which will take place in the Bern Schwartz Gymnasium at 6:30 p.m. Refreshments will include Hope's Cookies, and a representative of the Bryn Mawr College Bookshop will be on hand to sell hooded sweatshirts and t-shirts, both long- and short-sleeved, bearing the new logo. One lucky sports fan will win an Owls hoodie as a door prize.
