Shofar, So Good. The Bryn Mawr College Campus Hillel, weather permitting, will have its annual shofar blowing in front of the Campus Center on Friday, Sept. 7-24 Elul, from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. The shofar is a Jewish ritual instrument crafted from a ram's horn. It is sounded every day except Shabbat during the Jewish month of Elul, the month before Rosh Ha-Shanah, the beginning of the Jewish New Year. All members of the community are invited to stop, relax, play a shofar or just listen. Anyone who has a shofar is encouraged to bring one.
