The following morning Bryn Mawr faculty members Ignacio Gallup Diaz, Tamara Neuman, and Madhavi Kale will join Khalidi to lead a discussion on post-Cold War period, to take place in Dalton 2 from 9:30 to 11 a.m.

Holiday Giving Program. As the holiday season approaches, the Civic Engagement Office is seeking volunteers to participate in the Family Gift Connection program it sponsors annually with the Maternity Care Coalition/MOMobile. The program offers an opportunity for Bryn Mawr offices, departments or individuals and their families to enhance the holiday experience of a local family.

Participants register with the Civic Engagement Office, which will match givers with families. The contact person for each department or family will get a profile that includes the first names, ages and clothing sizes of the children assigned to it, along with a short "wish list" of toys. MOMobile asks that participants plan to spend at least $15 per child and avoid used clothing or toys. For more information, call the Civic Engagement Office at 610-526-7967. To register, e-mail with the following information:

  • The name of your department/office/family
  • The name of the contact person for your department/office/family
  • The number of children your department/office/family would like to sponsor
