to Benefit Mental-Health Organization
This Friday, Nov. 30, from 7-10:30 p.m., Active Minds at Bryn Mawr will
host performances by singers, belly dancers, flute players, actors and comedians in the Campus Center main lounge to raise funds for the Forteniters Club, a Norristown community organization that helps those affected by mental illness adjust to independent living.
Raffle tickets will be on sale all evening, and bidding for silent-auction prizes will be open until 10 p.m. For those who can't make it in the evening, representatives of Active Minds will be tabling at the Staff Association's Holiday Fair in Thomas Great Hall from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., when some of the silent-auction bidding will begin. All proceeds will go directly to the Forteniters.
Representatives from Active Minds at Bryn Mawr, Body Image Council and the
National Alliance on Mental Illness will be on hand from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
