Digital Humanities Prize to History of Art Ph.D. candidate Nava Streiter

Nava Streiter (PhD candidate, History of Art) has been awarded the Digital Humanities prize from the Delaware Valley Medieval Association for her web-based project focusing on a 15th-century French manuscript housed in Bryn Mawr's Special Collections, the Poissy Processional. The project grew out of her graduate fellowship in Special Collections (2014-15) and involved the digitization of the medieval processional for presentation online. Among the innovative aspects of the project, she had the medieval musical notation translated into modern notation and had recordings made of some of the music.

The project was directed by Marianne Hansen, Curator for Rare Books and Manuscripts and supported by a Tri-Co Digital Humanities grant.
