Miriam Caskey, Ph.D. '73 (Archaeology) was honored on September 15th, 2018 for her lifetime commitment to preserving the cultural heritage of the Greek Island of Kea (also known as Tzia) in the northern Cyclades.

Dr. Caskey and her husband, John Caskey, who was the director of the American School of Classical Studies at Athens, led an effort to excavate Aghia Irini, a site on Tzia.
