Career Sense, Career Connections

Becky Ross brings broad experience to Alumnae Career Services role.

Becky Ross came on board in December after an extensive search conducted by the Leadership, Innovation, and Liberal Arts Center (LILAC) in collaboration with Alumnae Relations and Development. Her newly envisioned, full-time position is designed to ensure alumnae/i have access to excellent career development resources and programs.

The common thread to Ross’s experiences at various private and public universities has been a dedication to student and alumnae/i success. At Bryn Mawr, that experience will translate into a range of offerings. She will work on creating, expanding, and orchestrating initiatives to leverage the alumnae/i network—for their own career management as well as for the benefit of others. She will also provide career coaching and counseling, develop a referral network of experts and resources, and collaborate on strategic planning for alumnae/i engagement. An early goal is to complete a needs assessment and collect feedback from alumnae/i to inform strategic direction over the next five to 10 years.

Ross, who brings more than 22 years of career development experience and leadership in higher education to the role, comes to Bryn Mawr from West Chester University and has served in various roles at Drexel University, Princeton University, the University of Pennsylvania, and the University of Florida. She has a master’s degree from the University of Minnesota in counseling and student personnel psychology.
