Is there any class, moment, or professor that was especially memorable or impactful? Tell us about it and why.

I loved my experience in Psychoanalytic Theory, taught by Dr. Sarah Bressi. She made psychoanalytic concepts accessible and applicable — how we show up in relationship with others, how we make sense of the human experience, what lives outside our conscious awareness and influences our thinking and behaviors. Her class has become foundational to the way I think about social work and psychotherapy.

What will you miss most about Bryn Mawr?

It's a beautiful, progressive, forward-thinking university with faculty and staff who genuinely care about students' growth and success. Things can feel heavy in the world right now, but knowing that Bryn Mawr is sending a new class of trauma-informed, social justice-oriented social workers into communities every year makes me feel hopeful about the kind of future we are building.

What about your Bryn Mawr experience was essential, but you didn’t expect it?

I didn't expect to find such an incredible community within my graduate program. My classmates are some of the kindest, most inspiring people I've met. They come from all walks of life, including career changers, recent graduates, and lifelong public servants in the social sector. I have loved learning about the life experiences and points of view each person is bringing to the social work field. I've valued the time spent learning from my classmates just as much as I've valued the time learning from my professors.
