Admissions and Aid
Admission to the Postbaccalaureate Premedical Program is highly selective.
We look for applicants who show a strong academic record at both the high school and college levels. In general, accepted students have better than a B+ (3.3) average at the college level and standardized test scores consistent with that level of performance. Your motivation for becoming a physician will be considered, along with your career history, volunteer activities, and any experiences you have had in healthcare. Academic letters of recommendation give us further insights into your background and capabilities.
For a complete list of requirements and instructions, please visit our How to Apply page.
Admission to the Postbaccalaureate Premedical Program is conducted on a rolling basis starting in the fall with decisions made throughout the admissions cycle. Applying early is recommended because there are many more qualified applicants than spaces. However, we encourage college seniors to apply after they have received their fall semester grades.

Our program participates in the Post Baccalaureate Centralized Application Service (PostBacCAS). To evaluate your eligibility for the program, first, we review your PostBacCAS Bryn Mawr application and supporting materials. Following this initial screening, you may be invited to interview.
If you are invited to interview, we want to help you decide whether Bryn Mawr is the right choice for you. On your interview day, you’ll participate in an information session given by the director of the Postbaccalaureate Premedical Program and speak with current students. We will also provide you with a potential academic plan for classes, based on your academic history.
Our Admissions Committee members include representatives from the science faculty and the Postbaccalaureate Premedical Program office. Your application and interview help our Admissions Committee to determine whether your previous academic record and experiences, along with your goals and motivation, are consistent with the requirements of our program.
After your interview, our Admissions Committee will review your candidacy and make a decision about your admission to the program within four to six weeks.
We appreciate your interest in the Bryn Mawr College Postbaccalaureate Premedical Program and look forward to working with you in the admissions process!
