Middle Eastern, Central Asian, and North African Studies

The program in Middle Eastern, Central Asian, and North African Studies focuses on the study of the area from Morocco to Afghanistan from antiquity to the present day.

Through this Tri-College program, students can investigate the history, politics and cultures of the Middle East through coursework, independent study, and events at Bryn Mawr and at neighboring institutions.

Middle Eastern, Central Asian, and North African Studies independent major, A.B.

While there is no existing major in Middle Eastern, Central Asian, and North African Studies, students can work with faculty to create a major through the Independent Major Program.

Middle Eastern, Central Asian, and North African Studies Concentration

There are two tracks to Middle Eastern, Central Asian, and North African Studies Concentration; one requires study or competence in a Middle Eastern language, the other does not.
