Lantern Scholars
The cost of visiting colleges can be a barrier to many students. Our Lantern Scholars fly-in program funds high school seniors from first-generation and/or low-income backgrounds to visit Bryn Mawr and participate in programming designed to support students in the college search process.
Frequently Asked Questions
There's no one right way to learn more about us, but we do have some recommendations! If you can visit campus, we offer a campus tour and information session most days of the week and select Saturdays. If you can't make it to campus, you can attend a virtual information session in the morning or evening on select dates throughout the year. Check our schedule at the top of this page for all these opportunities and specific dates.

Check our "In Your Area" calendar at the top of this page to see if your admissions counselor will be traveling near you. We travel in the fall and spring, visiting high schools, attending college fairs, and often offering admissions interviews if you'd like to meet us in person.

Yes! We offer a Fall Open House for juniors and seniors each year which includes opportunities to sit in on a class, eat in our dining halls, and learn more from us about the admissions and financial aid processes.
