Intensive: STEM and Tech Spring Break Intensive

March 3, 2017

Register by tonight

Want to gain new tech skills, meet alums and learn about careers? LILAC’s STEM and Tech Intensive is two Saturdays and four Thursday evenings after break. Registration ends tonight!

Do you want to understand more about the technology you use every day? Do you want to know how to combine your interest in engineering with your Bryn Mawr education? How have Mawrtyrs broken into tech jobs and succeeded? Find the answer to these questions and more at the STEM and Tech Intensive! STEM and Tech is about innovation and ways in which the private sector is changed (and in turn changes) science. We plan to explore software engineering, educational technology, mechanical engineering, design thinking and data analytics, among other non-research careers in science and technology.

By the end of the program, you can expect to be better able to articulate career goals, have a stronger resume to get you there and have the skills and motivation to build a network to work toward those goals. Participants will attend at least one off-campus experience to apply skills encountered in the classroom and participate in a snapshot of the work environment. We will use case studies and work with guest speakers to develop basic skills with technology and identify ways to further develop those skills.

Register now!

Full-day sessions are on Saturday, March 18 and Saturday, April 15 from 9AM-5PM. Thursday night sessions are from 7-10PM on March 23 and 30, April 6 and 13.
