Civic Engagement is looking for two student coordinators who will act as liaisons between BMC and ACLAMO Family Center and promote, recruit, and assist volunteers for the Adelante Program.
The Adelante Program Student Coordinators will report twice per week to Vippy Yee in the Civic Engagement Office located in Dolwen, Cambrian Row. The schedule will be 8-10 hours per week. The pay rate is $10.50 per hour.
The perfect candidates will be rising sophomores or juniors who are available to attend all Adelante sessions and are comfortable developing and facilitating STEM lesson plans. They should also share our partnership philosophy –that the relationship is based on reciprocal sharing of assets/resources. Preferred qualifications include already being involved with ACLAMO, being van-certified or being willing to become van-certified, and speaking fluent or near fluent Spanish.
