April 6, 2018

Monday, April 9, 5-6:30PM, Canaday Rare Book Room

Meet Tania El Khoury, an artist working in London and Beirut, whose performances and video installation will be featured on campus during the fall semester. Learn about what she plans for us and how her work fits into the broader contexts of contemporary performance art and the ongoing refugee crisis.

This conversation will center on the four works El Khoury will install at Bryn Mawr: Gardens Speak, As Far As My Fingertips Take Me, Camp Pause and the newly-commissioned “Tell Me What I Can Do”: Letters From Gardens Speak. Learn about how her work fits into the broader contexts of contemporary performance art and the ongoing refugee crisis as well as her plans for the September residency.
