Volunteer Opportunity: Juntos DACA and DAPA Legal Clinics

February 12, 2016

Time and location vary.

Are you interested in assisting immigrants with documentation? Juntos will be launching monthly immigration relief assistance clinics in Philadelphia and Norristown and is looking for bilingual volunteers. Prior experience not necessary! Juntos is a non-profit organization that fights for the rights of the latino-immigrant community in the Greater Philadelphia area.

The clinics help screen the community different forms of immigration relief and help from an attorney for these programs. Volunteers will support document review for DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals), which grants young people work-permits and deportation protection, as well as help application preparation if DAPA (Deferred Action for Parents of Americans) opens later in the year.

Starting Monday, March 14, clinics will be held every second Monday of the month from 5:30pm-8pm in Philadelphia and every third Monday of the month from 5:30pm-8pm in Norristown. Interested? Please fill out this form and attend the volunteer training at the Juntos Office, 1537 S. 6th St, Philadelphia (Corner of 6th and Tasker) on Monday, February 29 from 5:30pm-7:30pm. Questions? Contact Yared (yared@vamosjuntos.org).

Independent volunteers are eligible for travel reimbursement (50%) from Civic Engagement; details can be found on our website.
