Saturday, Dec. 16, 11AM-1PM, Books Through Bars
Join SCRWP in volunteering & fundraising for Books Through Bars, which sends free books to people incarcerated in PA and nearby states! Volunteers will read letters from inmates, match book requests from a donated-books library, package them up, and then have lunch!
Books have been shown to make a huge difference in the life of inmates, especially when they try to readjust to society after prison. Please join Books Through Bars for this event, located at 4722 Baltimore Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19143.
