Alison Cook-Sather Co-Convenes Workshop at Vassar Institute for the Liberal Arts

May 29, 2025

Professor of Education Alison Cook-Sather was among the designers of the workshop “Belonging and Beyond: Using Future Histories to Reimagine Teaching and Learning,” held by The Vassar Institute for the Liberal Arts this spring.

Associate Professor of Sociology Veronica Montes and Visiting Assistant Professor of Sociology David Sorge participated in the workshop, along with Dante Nguyen, Haverford College ‘25. This workshop builds on the successful outcomes of a workshop funded by the Alliance to Advance Liberal Arts Colleges that was co-organized by Cook-Sather and the same faculty colleagues from Vassar, Bryn Mawr, and Grinnell Colleges in January of 2025. Sorge attended both workshops and is planning to teach a course that emerged from his work in close collaboration with SaLT student consultant Austen Morris ‘26.
