Astrid Rodrigues '06, a digital producer at The Philadelphia Inquirer, won a Mid-Atlantic Regional Emmy for her work on a documentary about Philadelphia's Italian Market.
“Italian Market: Love on 9th Street,” won in the Feature News Report-Light Feature category, and tells the love story of two merchants who met in the Italian Market 35 years ago. In the 190-year history of The Inquirer, this year's ceremony was the first time their journalists won Emmy Awards.
Rodrigues' previous work included producing content for the ABC News program 20/20 and newsletter and digital production experience with Google Advocacy Project’s anti-slavery campaign in India with International Justice Mission. Rodrigues double majored in French and English at Bryn Mawr.
