BMC Receives Grants for Teaching and Learning

The Pennsylvania Consortium for the Liberal Arts (PCLA) recently awarded five PCLA/Arthur Vining Davis Teaching and Learning Awards to nine of its member campuses for a total of $85,336 in support of innovations in teaching and learning research and dissemination for the 2017-18 school year.

Bryn Mawr was part of two cross-campus teams to receive grants. Professor of Education Alison Cook-Sather and colleagues from Haverford, Juniata, Lafayette, and Ursinus received funding for a project focused on "Promoting Equity and Inclusion Through Pedagogical Partnership." Manager of Educational Technology Services Jennifer Spohrer and colleagues from Franklin & Marshall will look into "Using Online, Interactive Tutorials to Individualize Instruction and Improve Learning Outcomes in Introductory Courses."
