An afternoon of recognition, community, and summer fun
Last week, on a beautiful sunny June afternoon, staff from across the college gathered to catch up with colleagues at the annual Staff Picnic. The picnic is an opportunity to celebrate the end of the academic year and honor staff achievements and years of service. This year, the event also included a cornhole tournament and scavenger hunt.
The McPherson Award for Excellence, which is based on community nominations and recognizes excellence and service to the community, was presented to Oksana Kraikivska from Housekeeping, Diane Dell'Arciprete from the Provost's Office, and Arleen Zimmerle from LITS. Kraikivska was recognized at the picnic but was unable to attend.
